Good evening gents,
I know this isn't a piece of Wehrmacht headgear, but it is still cloth for the most part. I posted it in the Police & Civil Militaria Forum, but it has generated no input as of yet. So, if you'd be so kind I'd appreciate some opinions on this Tschako.
I have handled many Ordnungs and Schutz Tschakos over the years, but every one of them has been wool covered and marked with the usual info in the crown (Romer, Erel, etc...). This is the first one I've handled that has been unmarked, and has been in Trikot.
I looked at I don't know how many Threads here and found only one that showed a similar example (Ordnungspolizei in Trikot posted by Chris, but there was no comment about it). See post #70 in http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ht=tschako+101)
I tried to take as many pics as I could to help make the task easier for you, but if you need anymore just ask.
In-hand I personally like it. You can see that the eagle has left a nice clean area behind it and the inside just has that "certain smell" we love in these old items. I looked under the liner and there are no markings whatsoever.
If it's a turd ball no big deal as I can launch it back so be brutal.
Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing what you've got to say.
Have a good evening.
