    Panzer Sidecap - Opinions Please!

    Good evening!

    I picked up this sidecap recently. It's my first tentative step into the world of cloth headgear. Can you tell me whether it stands a chance of being original?

    Having viewed a few threads on the forum I didn't see any sidecaps with these little hooks that attach to the vent holes (pics to follow) - are they uncommon?

          I don't like it. Wrong shape, materials and construction and in my opinion, it is a poor fake. Steve

                Was thinking original paramilitary cap rebadged, or is it a complete fake. TPK

                  It's an original Teno sidecap with incorrect eagle.

                      I should add that in hand it looks a lot more black than navy blue. Is the eagle insignia original?

                        Looks like an original Panzer eagle. If you compare the black backing of the eagle to the fabric of the cap, you can see it's a very dark blue, almost black but not quite. You can also see the ghost of where the original Teno eagle used to be.
