I posted this for sale and I had a good question from a member concerning the color of the lower part of the hat just below the chin strap, kinda purplish. any one know why this would occur? maybe the age and different material?

Referring to your cap for sale and not that Alter Art, it's a nice cap and the purple effect is normal. nothing to worry about.

Yes, I agree with the other comments, that the visor cap listed on the e-stand is perfectly fine. This type of color difference is very typical for some makers.
