The cap is a good maker and type (padded) but I don't recall seeing one for W-SS. I have seen them for Zoll (Customs).

We have all got to remember that affluent nco's, enlisted and officers had the option of private purchase. I owned an identical m-43 to this in the 1980's obtained directly from a vet who brought it back. It has been long since sold.
I like this hat, insignia, construction, etc all look correct to me.

It is entirely possible. The badges are good, as is the cap.
