I think it's a red cross cap with insignia army Tr regards sergio

The cap was made with all over worn cloth , no traces of wear on the outside panels of the flaps .
When worn uniform cloth was recycled to save material , they turned it to have the best wool side outside .
Very unusual linen lining , bad light ink stamping ...

right, wool on the last pictures seems a little grey but it is feldgrau. assembled as GAMS said.
