Actually, I rather like the look of this cap....to me it looks like a custom tailored cap with very interesting insignia? Is that a 'T' insignia made from two separate pieces? I think it has a good chance of being original.

If indeed real, congratulation on a very rare cap. GJ Officer Mutze are very rare.
