Hat is real, and so is insignia.

However, this is a late-war Pekuro, circa 43-44, and the Reserve Cockade was prohibited by regulations from being worn after June 1936.

(in other words, someone added the cockade after the war).

Thx for your comment. How do to possible to recognize the cocade added in wartime or after? Because it is look ok (wartime period) to me.

The cockade is real--it just was added to the hat after the war, to make it more "enticing".

Reservist crosses should not be on any Wehrmacht headgear after 1936.
