Second opinions needed - Luft Generals insignia

I've been offered a Generals cap but I'm not entirely sure of the insignia.
The eagle looks ok to me but what about the wreath and kokarde?

Wreath and Kockade looks fake to me, the eagle might be good, although it would be not for me .. looks tricky..

Me four--acorns are very crude.
Eagle may be ok, might be re-stitched.

The eagle sure looks restitched to me, not knowing how it should look on an original.

Just got a new photo and this confirms our doubts I believe. Cords look very new as well.

What a shame because the cap is good I believe but it's just too much money to make sense restoring it back to it's former self; cap spring is broken, sweatband missing etc.

That's what I figured. Plus finding just the right badges would likely take a long time. It is a shame. I'm sure you could massage it back to it's former glory. Maybe the owner will see reason and drop the price a bit.

BTW any pics of the cap itself? It looks good from what I can see of it but . . .

Hopefully no one gives a knee jerk negative reaction to the cloth versus blackened aluminum area in the roundel. It was used at times; I have one or two with this feature.

Not quite sure what you mean Rick?

The black of the roundel is 'usually' blackened aluminum wire versus rayon or cloth. Some folks believe cloth/rayon's a red flag. It's not.
