    Visor cap Officer Infanterie

    Hello,

I have a peaked cap of an officer of infantry, which I got recently. What can you tell me about the manufacturer, which is it? What is interesting in the hat is apparently a Bevo eagle and sewn on the side to secure the silver cord large buttons, seemingly uniform buttons instead of the smaller buttons. However, it is sewn original in my opinion everything. Can it be that it is a late hat, where these effects have thus been used? Or what do you think?
Would appreciate plenty of information on this cap and in this combination.

Original cap cap but in my opinion restored. The tunic buttons are totally wrong and for shure not added during the war.

I would say there was someone whitch did not had the right cap buttons instead he use what he had.

However look for correct side buttons and replace them.

I also did not beleave the sidecap or crsuher eagle was original to the cap.

    Cheers,

I like the stitching to the eagle--it may be original to the cap.
If there are no signs of prong holes from a metal eagle (or stitch holes from a bullion eagle), I would say it is original to the cap.

Regarding the buttons, they appear to be shoulder-buttons. I have seen this on later-war caps--just an example of the hat maker using what he had.

Same thing applies--if there are no signs of holes in the pasteboard from other chinstrap/chincord buttons, the buttons are probably original as well.

Eagle is crooked and replace, wreath looks as if its glued on, the whole hat is a rework.

          Hello everybody,

I liked the hat on the nature and form is not bad, but it changed again, because of the inconsistencies against another. The collector of which I have acquired, has also missed the original cap the see to the uniform jacket of the lieutenant was one I purchased this from an estate, is another one that I will again present here one by one, in the jacket I have absolutely no problems with 100% top and fits (is also presented in another forum). I found at the cap at issue here adhesive residue behind the wreath, the cockade single with Metallsplinten, now is the question, it was the beginning to end or moderate field or just reworked eg by a saddler in the Wehrmacht or tailor? Or is definitely postwar, I mean everything is possible, only the really all been sewn. I can already imagine due to austerity measures and faster production, which has been such a thing possible at the end.
Incidentally, I have examined carefully under the lining behind the eagle, you konnt just see underneath was something of a reinforcement with white floating grid me and I have not found any punctures or holes in a metal eagle! There is nothing absolutely to his cap. On the cap from the outside are no other holes that pierce zBvon another eagle of a sewing or by.
As I said, there are many questions that I place only one thing is certain, there are no punctures a metal eagle present, the buttons of the cord are sewn original, there are no other punctures and it is the original thread. The ring seems to be stuck with the attached cockade Metallsplinten. Just what does all this to me. was it is a late production in the taken what was there, it makes me suspect that, or is it a remanufactured after the war bonnet, but it does not fit in my opinion then with the eagle and the buttons will not match if it were ?!
