    Heer NCO/EM visor for review

    Hi guys,
This is my 1st visor, so not in my area of collecting.
First off is it good or bad, and who is the maker?

    Regards
    Kevin

        Hello,
The maker is August Schellenburg, and it appears to be original, although I am a little concerning about the interior of the cap. I cannot see the underside of the visor or the sweatband well enough to make a final call. They both appear like some of the postwar, artificially aged stuff you see on eBay, so better pictures would be needed to confirm.
        Thank you,
        Curtiss

              Hi Kevin,
My basic feeling is that it is an early Schellenburg. I am somewhat uncomfortable with the sweatband and the visor. The color of the underside of the visor is a little off/strange and the sweatband looks like it may have been resewn in portions? Is the sweatband all a gray leather? Generally, the quality of materials and shape of the cap or inline with typical Schellenburg visor caps.
              Thank you,
              Curtiss

                Hi Curtiss,
The underside of the visor is a little darker than shown in the pic and the sweatband is brown in color...It does look grey in the pic. The front is a little stiffer and salt stained. The backside of the sweatband is a rough out leather.
The interior lining is yellow in color, but quite dirty.

                Thanks
                Kevin
