Can someone help me I.D. this cap?

Hello,
I have come in possession of this soft cap and this not being my area of collecting emphasis, I have had some difficulty in narrowing down what this might be? There seems to me to be quite a few possibilities here based on some light research I have been doing.

Any help on what this is and how much it might be worth will help me out a great deal.

It was certainly intended to be a late war German Army enlistedman's M-43 cap but looks to be a reproduction to me.

Since "HBA" presumably stands for Heeres Bekleidungs Amt I think you can rule out Luftwaffe, but because the stamping is an obvious fake it is a moot point.
