    A question about M43 caps......

    Hi to everyone....
I have a question about a feature of M43 caps....
Some have the frontal end flap folded like the second pics below....
others have two pieces of fabric sewn together.......(first pic)
Are both legit on these caps or......not?
Thanks for the help and have a nice evening....
    Giorgio
PS I got two pics from forum for example only......

      Hi Daniel,
you're right , I'm not so deep in the language and sometimes it' really difficult to explain....
I mean the frontal end part of the scalloped area, where there're the buttonholes....
In some caps the fabric is simply "folded" in other there're two piece of fabric sewn together......
Hope that I've been able to make me understand....
      All my best

both variants are seen on orginals, but the "two piece" work is the most common.

Both situation good. I had a cap with 2 pieces with the reverse in late war wool (classic m44 wool). Normally folded but with shortage of materials for sure they utilised a piece of wool also if flaps could not be folded...

IMO it was not a matter of shortage, it depended more maker. there are also late " folded" variants

Thanks again to everyone for your opinions....
Another issue to explore the topic.....
.....is there some difference in these, if we talk of two bottons or one botton cap?
I mean, what has been said is true exactly for both ?
