    hi
This cap was purchased in 2012 from a friend who bought from private let there be no doubt, he has not changed .Images often lie and the pictures here are also dark .the Edelweiss is in the same quality as the entire cap. it is not uncommon for an edelweiss was lightly pressed. Please note that the manufacturer haben.gerade not always produced the same green on green, there are many differences.
The Edelweiss was established in May 1939 but it does not mean that all ready to wear them. The hat is a wonderful unworn GJ under the paper there is nothing, only the name.
    Sorry for my english
    best wishes

I appreciate everyone's help with this cap and although it's in an original Erel in incredible condition, I agree it is not a Gebirgsjäger cap and decided not to purchase it.

Looks like a good Gebirgsjäger green piped Schirmmütze IMHO. No problems with the Edelweiß placement either....very common placement if you study wartime photographs.

          Berg Heil und Horrido!
