Infantry VIsor Hat - Is it real?

I would sincerely appreciate any opinions as to the authenticity of this visor hat. I was told it might be a later war visor hat. There are no markings, and the sweat diamond is celluloid. Thanks.

I don't know what to say about this one. The exterior looks OK, but the interior is befuddling, at least to me.
Unusual underside of the peak, and the herringnone pattern lining is often seen on M43 caps, but not on dress caps.
A late war, use whatever is available cap? The wool looks like low quality, late war blend.

Indeed a very interesting mix if real. Late war Italian HBT is my guess

I do not believe it is a fake, as i have not seen one of this style before.
Most likely either foreign-made, or just a mom n' pop haberdasher shop using whatever materials they could scrounge.

A nice, unique original in my opinion

You can see many original OFF jackets made with italian HBT silk or cotton linings after 43,made in Germany with tailor labels .
So why not a Schirmmütze made in Germany with the available material ?
Not a foreign made for me , typical german celluloid form for example ?
I already had that kind of visors on late war made WH caps .

Agreed looks to be a late war put together.
