Opinions sought on Heer M43

Hello-

Could I please have your informed opinion on the originality of this M43? I am not well versed in these. The insignia looks period machine stitched to me, but the ~1/2" sewing anomaly near the bill gives me pause.

Very poor rendered fake

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
