The overseas,maybe some sort of field made item (maybe) or something re-worked.

The bunny fur hat is original.

I've recently seen fake caps made really to deceive even most sophisticated collectors with everything one wants to see, you name it , all original material including rivets (removed from some breeches), salty and soiled like hell, "field-made repairs", 100% natural wear, etc. Scary if you ask me

The side cap is typical of these late war reworked caps , made with turned cloth or in
everything which was available ...manpower was not expensive !
Nothing to do with "scarying"perfect repros !
