    Officer's hat for evaluation, medical?

I acquired this officer's hat in a trade. It is somewhat devoid of markings save for 'Stirndruckfrei Deutsches Reichpatent'. The markings are printed in silver on the sweat triangle in the crown. This 'plastic' piece is becoming detached and is only hanging on buy a third of its stitching.
The external body is sound with little wear or damage. The sweat band is a dark brown leather with some unique patterns made by punched holes in the brow of the sweatband.
The piping is a very dark blue, I suspect medical. Although when I first saw it I thought it might have been a purple.
Below are some images for consideration. I would appreciate any opinions.

Thank you all for your replies. The term 'Peküro' is the manufacturer?

It's nice to know it is a good original piece.

Yes, the maker was Pekuro, short for Peter Kupper, of Wuppertal-Ronsdorf.
This is , as stated, a very nice medical cap.
