      sweatband looks replaced due to handstiching on rear of cap no stiching on the front IMO

            your cap is very nice original ,just i agree sweatband looks resewn,if you may post photo from visor area will be better to say for sure.

                      If it appears the sweatband has been resown, does that present a problem or could this have been done as a period repair ?

                        thank you for better photos,yes me agree now band is resewn for 100% period or not is always hard to say .
