    Early post-war or fantasy cap in my opinion.....
    Wartime regulations never mentioned a silver / aluminum piping......

    The regular visor cap for employees had 3 rings of orange piping , the blue visor for Telegraph personnel was piped in the same color as the cap's body : blue

          I agree with Theo--a fantasy piece.

          I have seen a lot of high-end fakes with the Hut Mayer Neuotting logo of late (they are also still in business to this day).
