Thanks - That is what I thought as well, but wanted the experts to affirm.

I was pretty sure these were repro, but I have seen them showing up on some the WWII FFL/Collector sellers on Gun Broker. For example a pith helmet that was for sell had similar ones on them. So I thought, well maybe I was wrong

I don't feel to bad having it on my straw hat I wear when mowing now !

Agree cast fakes, not stamped original shields. About 99 % of tr items on gunbroker are fake
