What were headgear stantards in wehrmacht/waffen ss/luftwaffe.
Who had option to use
01. side caps
02. field caps
03. crusher caps with leather cord
3.5. crusher caps with string cord
04. peaked caps with leather cord
4.5. peaked caps with string cord
Atleast I have seen that recruits and privates had usually sidecaps but M43 field cap replaced it and some generals had sidecaps but could like commander have side cap or did they have peaked/crusher cap or helmet?
And what about differenses between branches? Allgemeine-SS privates had peaked cap but in Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS you needed to be higher ranking to wear Peaked caps.
Was crusher cap field modification or did higher ranking high ranking officers had peaked caps and low ranking officers have crusher caps?
