A friend of mine came by earlier this week with a visor cap he picked up. He bought it from a WW2 vets son, but no additional information was available. I looked through my reference books but couldn't find anything like it. Closest I came was a navy veterans hat, but the eagle and wreath were different. I'll post some pics, hopefully someone can ID this hat. Thanks for looking.

From these limited pics, the hat appears to be a legitimate wartime Erel.
However, the insignia is incorrect for a naval hat.
