Fake, easy tells is the thread used for the black of the roundel, smooth underside of the visor. Then you can look at the absent Erel characteristics. J

The first one ist a very nice EREL Privat, I like that visor!! Great cap.
Eagle is replaced but I don't have problms with that. On many caps was the eagle put down after the war.
I agree with the others, the second is a terrible fake!

Hi Paul,

On the first cap, I would add that the material looks to be a higher quality doeskin. This was the exception rather than the norm for most LW officer visors. So, very nice there.
