    I have seen the "Rommel" visor at the Texas State Military Museum in Austin. It was a legitimate Erel general's cap, but there was really no way for it to be proven that it was Rommel's. They used to display it with a pair of brown leather riding boots that also supposedly came from the same vets, but when the Museum asked his son, Manfred, about the boots, he said they were not his father's. The boots were gone the next time I visited.
