Size and year marking inside Lw Sued Fur cap?

Hi Guys,

I got this cap which is by all means a very nice Lw Sued Fur cap but it has a size and year marking on it that I have not seen before in previous caps of this type that I have owned. Would very much appreciate some 2nd opinions on these markings. Thanks.

I have that same type Luft cap haven't seen them marks before either mine has a orange tag inside it with the size 57 stamped on it. I think the cap is fine though probably just a varable way of marking. timothy

Is that an H after the G. A. ? that might stand for G A Hoffman, let see what others have to say.
