A few weeks ago, I was at the beach with some friends. We were walking back to our car when I notice this Rolls Royce, I see a visor sitting in the back of the car near the rear windshield. When I got a bit closer I knew right away what it was. The owner was near by, so I talked with him a bit and he told me his father got it in France along with the tunic, pants and boots. Unfortunately the rest of the uniform is long gone, but he still had the visor. Thankfully he was willing to part with it and now it's in my collection I thought I would share this little story, kind of weird how some things happen to turn up. I've been to a lot of antique shows and haven't seen one authentic visor!

Hi Rylan,
Wow! What a bizarre story! I can't believe the incredible fortune, to come into a Luftwaffe officers visor in that manner; a guy in a Rolls Royce of all vehicles! Good you asked the fellow about it too. Life is certainly funny.
Congratulations on the wonderful find, and years of enjoyment, I wish for you.
Thank you for sharing this with us,
Curtiss

The general shape looks off as well; not for me.

I have to ask--what was he doing driving around with a "nazi hat" in the back of the car?NEC SOLI CEDIT

Hello Chris, That's why I did the edit because after I placed my 1st post I wasn't sure, I looked at the cockade and it in my mind looked rather bazaar, I guess its just me, as always thanks buddy.

My thoughts exactly, Stonemint. Was this a daily habit, or was he on his way to a "meeting"? Of course, if you own a Rolls, you can do anything you wish!!

I fully agree with you. I know this variation of LW cap and this one is 100% as it should be. When in nice condition these are great looking LW caps and not that easy to find. I also agree with you that these are later war.
