SS panzer black M40 side cap

Gentlemen, I’m all new here. I joined to ask for you opinions on this SS M40 side cap I’ve recently scored in Hungary. It looks all original to me but I’m no expert. What do you think?
What exactly is the score with the pink soutache? Most panzer M40s don’t have it. Which ones do?
    Thank you,
    Pista

    hello pista.

Do you mean waffenfarbe ? I think you need to post the photos for a proper assessment . Lots of junk comes out of hungary, so without photos don't expect much, as it's always a possibility the side cap may not be original.

      Hi,
Sorry, it seems like I can’t upload images directly, but I can post a web link.
I made a photobucket album for this purpose which I thought I included in my original post.
      Maybe this time I succeed.
As for junk coming out of Hungary, yes, the usual garbage is all over the place but this is one of the very few places in Europe where one can still find quality relics. Trust me about that.
