IS there a difference between Polizei and SS Polizei badges?

WEll, everything is in the title. Is there a difference between polizei and SS polizei eagles, or between SS polizei and polizei caps?
I did a forum search and surprisingly the word Polizei brings up almost no results.

If I rephrase my question: what is this badge?

See Bill's response on the police forum section. You cap badge is a standard Polizei soft cap eagle. There is no difference between active service, home service, or so called SS-Polizei units cap insignia.
