    SS Visor Hat

    Hi friends,
I guess I was lucky ? Since I am here a local historian with a Museum, a Lady stood infront of my door and gave me a box with this hat. She said she got of her parents house which is to be leveld in the next days. She also said that they had the whole black uniform, but sinde he did in his Age , put the uniform on and walked on the street ( this was in the 80s) they threw all that "junk" away!
Well since i am not an super expert on hats I would like to know what you think of it good or bad.
I know many vets were buying in the after war years their unifoms as Repros for memories sake, this is why i want to be shure.
    Thanks for any help
    Dirk

IMO, this hat is bad. It was not made by August Schellenberg, and has no Schellenberg characteristics. It is a modern made reproduction. I cannot speak for the insignias. Lets here what the others have to say.

Dirk, it is a common reproduction. Sorry.

Typical Janke made Schirmmütze, since the 80's .
