    Gebirgsjäger mutze

    Hello all,

Wanted to know if this one even stands a chance. Came with a good EM/NCO visor but judging from these small photos I just can't tell.

      Hi William,
Well, it is certainly not typical. I have never seen metal buttons painted to look like 'steinnuss'. It is also missing the typical full leather sweatband found on earlier examples. I personally would be uncomfortable keeping this in my collection.
      Thank you,
      Curtiss

        +1.

Too many 'non-standard' things evident for my liking.

Simply a M43 cap with the T eagle hand resewn on it but when ?
              Not a Bergmütze ...
The Gams beside the Edelweiss looks nice but postwar ?
What kind of metal and pin ?
