SS officer's overseas cap opinions please

Hi.

I need your opinions on this SS officer's overseas cap.
It has been offered to me along with some other SS items and I would really appreciate your help on this one.
I thought that the eagle and skull should have silver thread and not white thread on officer's overseas cap.
If this is an original, what would a fair price for this cap be?

The insignia are original but for EM/NCOs not officer flatwire.

From the pics I like it more then I don't.
Em insignia on a Officer M40 are Ok .
Impossible to tell if originally applied or not w/out an hands-on inspection.

In the ss lot there is some other items that I want in my collection and this cap is not one of them. The seller wants to sell the whole lot and his price is based on that this is a officers overseas cap even though it has the enlisted insignina. What would a fair price for this cap be if the insignia is originally applied to the cap?

Does the hat have a wire stiffener ?
