Many years ago I collected Panzer items.

I had several berets and was under the impression that only berets with the circular weave were correct and period.

Is this assumption correct ?

Good question...had the same assumption

But you have the circular weave ? not evident but visible !
I'm wondering if the inner leather is original on it as i've never seen such a wide one ?
It could explain the unusual stamp ? Locally restored but when ?
Normally the leathers are of the Schirmmütze width type ?

I really wonder how unique these marking may be. These beret stand along by the design of it.
