    Luftwaffe FLAK visor

My latest visor acquisition a Luftwaffe FLAK visor obtained from a fellow WAF member
I already had this farbe but in an earlier teller form with wool, now in war time saddle shape executed in officers quality gabardine wool
The visor bill is a Heer style with no edge material.

The leather sweatband has issues...a (period?) repair- replacement piece and underneath that its been padded with a blank
LW FLAK weather report form (folded) which is kind of cool

I decided to put the form in a frame for display but if I ever sell the hat, I'll certainly stick it back under the leather band!
The two should not be seperated!
+ comparison shot with regular wool...

Some other farbes that I've collected over the years...no HG white yet unfortunately...
The officer one is well crushed a salty example....

Nick, I like your new acquisition. A mate here had one in the same material and it really stands out next to a standard type.

            Regards, Mike.

Nice late war Schellenburg. My favorite is the 50 mishion crusher type. J

                Lovely!

A lovely looking cap. I do like the saddle shape myself, also always love the red on blue of the Flak branch!

                    Hi Nick,
Wonderful late war Schellenburg flak visor cap! I just love Schellenburg made caps.
                    Thanks for sharing,
                    Curtiss

That truly is an interesting cap - hadn't seen a Schellenberg like that before. Any others around?

                          Nice cap !
The visor is not a WH type one but a thin cardboard one for the LW soft cap pattern ?
I already saw that type of visor on LW caps but also on soft Polizei cap .
Green in the back is a lot more typical for the LW than for the WH actually ?
But some WH caps were also observed ...
                          Nick

                            Yes that is true....
Just a late war variation bill I suppose.

                            Nice same maker cap Jack!

I have an HG Schellenberg with the same 1-piece heer visor and same trikot.

                              Nick, nice score, btw!
