Don't know about the eagle from these pics, but I woudl say it's within the color spectrum for Jäger/Gebrigsjäger.

Yes, clearly a bullion eagle was on there at one time, and sat at least one cm lower than the present eagle. So it is quite probable that the edelweiss is a recent addition. Still a nice cap if the price is right. The green shade of farbe is consistent with the Gebirgstruppen.

at first look i was thinking its adminstration visor cap,but i started to belive this waffenfarbe is in fact ok for GJ.

Jäger Waffenfarbe but the eagle took some altitude to leave space
for the Edelweiss .
When ? this is the usual question ?
Early GJ caps doesn't have an Edelweiss in the front unitl 38-39, so why not
added at that time ?
