A big gamble. Please review this puppy.

Some people go to Las Vegas and bet money and lose. They walk away with nothing. I prefer to take a chance occasionally on German items. Lousy pictures from a known scammer and liar, but he had some items pictured that could POSSIBLY(!) be real, so I took a chance. He had sold a good Russian Front medal, with the ring marked, to a friend f mine. I've lost sometimes and I have won sometimes. So, as I asked all1knew, I wonder if I rolled sevens or snake eyes here.
This could very well be an enlisted visor for military police. Upon arrival today, I took a really good look at it and then I took beaucoup pics.
So, here we go!

Definitely not red waffenfarbe. I know my pictures suck bigtime, but this piping is most definitely orange. But you've got me feeling good!!
It will need work. The visor is separating from the body of the hat itself.
And it obviously needs a good eagle and wreath.

Cap itself looks good but you may need photos in natural light to get the true appearance of the piping - in these photos it does look more red-orange than pure orange.

Well Tim, if it's orange, that would make it Recruiting (still rare and desirable). I'd have a set of insignia if that helps...
