    KM Administration visor

    Dears,
please find some pictures of a KM admin visor.
Cap has a removeable top (marked J ? B 56) which is stichted to the peak stifferner.
Eagle is stitched neatly to the top.
Stiffener band seems to be treated carboard....it is definetly not plastic.
Cap band is mohair and can be removed.
Silver cap band is darkened trough age, under the knots still bright.

Thanks for remarks on this cap.

    Regards
    Christian

          Hi,

I got this visor from the last Herman Historica auction (Collection Wilson).
I post it here as ndeed the interior is nothing to compare with other KM caps I have seen.
Some more opinion appreciated before I go back to HH.
          Thanks
          Christian

I agree with the others, so I would not have it in my collection.

Christian, sorry but agree with others, no chance, for sure not an original WW2 KM cap IMO.

There were many KM bad pieces IMO in last HH auction.

The frame appears early (1956-65) DDR.

                  Thanks

                  Dears,
thanks for your valuable comments which I very much appreciate.

I think this cap is very obvious and I ask myself how this can slip through their "experts" hands ?

                  Again,
                  thanks a lot.

In my opinion such fake caps are not the problem of the experts of HH, it's more or less the looking for profit.
                    More caps = more profit!
It counts only what is sold! Inpedending if customers are happy or not!!

                      I don't like it, also.

They had many pieces of headgear, so if it all came from the same collection being sold, they might just let it go through their hands without properly inspecting all the items.

Did they do it thinking they have an excuse as it's coming from the collector or they really were not looking at the pieces, we can't know for sure.

But I agree that every single item should be properly inspected before putting into auction, however hard that can be to achieve.

Lets see what is their answer on my complaint will be, and than we will have the answer for what they are looking...customer care or profit...

                        I will keep you posted.
