I am always asked if I have ever seen them in an original hat. That answer is a definite no.

Yesterday i was looking on a dutch website and by coincidence i found a triple serial nr. in the leather sweatband but this time it was a pre-war Dutch Kepi i'm almost sure that this piece is a 100% untouched example?

Christian sent me pics of the Kepi. I know absolutely nothing about Dutch kepis.
However, the sweatband has some heavy stitching--band could be a replacement.
