Peaked cap Panzertruppe - a real thing ? Opinions needed

Although my field of interst beginns in the mid 50ies people ask me from time to time for an opinion on older (?) stuff. The following peaked cap is said to be in that family for a long time .... o.k. but thats a well known story and stuff wasd already fked years ago ... so it would be great to receive an expert opinion on this hat ...and a small indication of its worth if possible to judge by these pictures.

Looks like a good one missing the chinstrap.
If complete, it would be worth around 700 euros IMO.

I see things I like and things I don't like on this one. I don't like the center seam being so obvious and also the lower band of wool is the same as the rest of the body of the cap. Any chance we can get a look under the sweat band?

I like what I see. The center seam is unusualy but I saw some other original caps with the same type of seam in the center.

IMO a good one but are you sure it's a pink Waffenfarbe ?
It looks like light HQ crimson colour on the pictures ?
