While looking at M43 threads during the discussion of the black M43 I posted last week, I ran across the discussion of caps with a soft cotton lining material that has been dubbed "tea towel" fabric. Given my interest in Red Army militaria, this material looked like something I see with some regularity. I post this as an interesting comparison. How this weighs in with the controversy among members here regarding hats with such a lining... I do not know. I'm curious what folks will offer.
These first two shots are from a Soviet Telogreika (padded jacket). The entire exterior of this jacket is made from this type material. Most are not made in this fabric, but it is found time to time. This one is a light reed or sage green color. I have another that is a darker olive shade, but I'll have to dig it out.
