M43 SS cap with skull only; anyone familiar with this cap and/or photos??

We all know that several insignia combinations on SS M43 caps are possible, including the Totenkopf only like on this -I believe to be genuine- example.

Ostbfhr. Franz Hack with his M43 cap is a well known photographic proof of this practice but I would like to see more of them, especially within the EM/NCO ranks. Are there any out there you know of where only the skull is worn on the field gray issue M43 cap and NO eagle? Please share!

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello.

Could you show me the lining on this one?

It looks like a cap i sold on the Bazaar a 1-2 ago, a very well made fake, it did not have SS insignia then.

I have pictures on it at home (at work now).

Im not 100% sure, but it could very well be the same cap.

    Daniel.

        Thank you Frederick.

        Ok...this is really bad.

IT IS the same cap same cap i sold as fake on Bazaar.

When i sold it it had remants of heer trapezoid. The fakers did a good job aging it but they overdid it with the wear.

Someone removed the most bad signs, also removed some of the nap and added SS insignia to it. They also changed the Buttons.

                          indeed, scary well done...

Anyway, I informed Oakleaf about what he has for sale and he told me he will remove the cap from his website as it obviously will no longer be available for purchase and he will return it to the consignor.

& Regarding the initial question; any photos to share?

Of course I have no idea neither do I have a part in this play, only posted the cap...

Perhaps Oakleaf could provide further info if he desires? You could also send him an email and check if the re-enactor you sold the cap to and mister consignor are one and the same? In that case it is obvious when the cap received its "upgrade"...

But good job Daniel, revealing this one for future mistakes.
