IMO the insignia is bad, the officer pipping is not period and well thats 2 kills shots in about 2 seconds... It wouldn't be for my collection. Matt

Not only is the insignia bunk, but the cotton twill used to manufacture the hat is not good either. Looks nothing like any wartime twill that I have seen. Moreover, it DOES look like cotton twill used to manufacture reproduction tropical gear for reenactors.
