    Luftwaffe NCO Visor

    Hello,
    I request the advice of experts for this luftwaffe NCO cap.

    Is it a real one ? or a fake ? An idea of price ?

    Not looking good to me. First things I notice are the seemingly plastic sweatshield and smooth backside of the visor.

      I agree..... not good....

      Also , the seam of the black cap band is at the back , that's also a red flag.... the seam of the cap band should be at the front on Luftwaffe visors.

            Definitely so for officer caps, but occasionally seen on OR/NCO caps.

            I agree with the comments re this particular cap though, not a good one.

              Well done for its era--somewhat surprising they went with a plastic sweatshield. IMO, a 1970's fake.

                All good points, but don't forget about the plastic edging on the visor. One-look fake in the first photo even though the rest looks acceptable.

                    Hi Papabravo,

                    first welcome to the Cloth headgear Forum - in my opinion the best place to discuss caps.
                    Like BaselA mentioned, a very clear red flag is the sweatshield - it looks like soft thin plastic compared with an original "hard" one.

                    Good luck in finding an original one!
