    OT Schiffchen?

    Hi

I have been searching waf and the net all day.

What is this schiffchen? Is it even German?

Is it OT?, but the eagle doesnt match OT, It is the generic type political eagle.

    Best

Thank you, it was hard to find any info on any headgear from the Ost Government. I finally found a thread by Stonemint and some visors on Oakleaf.

The one I acquired is very well made.

        Thanks,
        D

Gorgeous piece, unreferenced and one of very few surviving examples

          Here is another one: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...highlight=rmbo

I had finally found your cap last night Kurt by searching Reichsministerium and not RMBO.

I could only find the M 43s and visors on Oakleaf Militaria. No schiffchens whatsoever on the net I could locate.

I read in your thread on cockade question, there was never one on the example I have found nor any trace whatsoever of one ever being present.

I also read one example was found in a trash can, thi sis why on sperrmuhl day in Germany Iam not embarrased to root through the garbage in front of people!!

In our hobby, one should NEVER be embarrassed to go through any type of trash

Great find and I'll make sure that I post any new information to this thread also if I'm successful in researching it further.

If that Mother's Cross came with the side cap, you also know that the first owner had a small head and was very fertile ... Kurt

I love spermuhl day I have not had any spectacular finds though.

The one I found appears unissued Kurt.

I have not had many political caps but the cut and quality on this surprised me, its very nice.
