                      Plus, look at the angle of the skull compared to the centre seam ... hand applied deliberately misaligned so the skull is straight when the cap is at a jaunty angle.

                            thank you for all the comments. I picked it up at an antique shop and I could not believe my eyes when I saw it. I didn't think I would ever own a ss panzer cap. I also picked up a heers officers overseas cap. It is salty but has a lot of character and the owners name stitch into the liner. I will get pictures of that one when I can.
