    Panzer Officer's Visor, Field Worn

I was lucky enough to acquire this Panzer visor from a collector friend in Germany and wanted to share it with the forum. I has a ton of character and shows some honest use. The best part is that it is named in 4 places (the tag, in pencil on the lining, scratched into the sweatshield, and perforated into the sweatband) - yes, this guy really like writing his name on his stuff.

The makers mark is faded, so any clues to who the maker is would be appreciated - I don't recognize this logo.

It was found in Marburg near Kassel. The tag seems to read "Wedler GO 4/Komp'". So far, my research efforts have not turned up anything.

Love the cap; especially those thick & toned bullion chincords.

Nice early cap. Your maker is Fewegla -- Felix Weissbach of Glauchau.

Weissbach also made field caps under contract for the Heer. Many of the tropical field caps from the so-called "beehive" cache discovered in Bavaria in the 70s were from F. Weissbach:

Thanks for the positive comments guys, and for demystifying the maker stonemint - I had not heard of him before. Interesting bit about the side caps OSS, I have read about that find in the past.
