    Kriegsmarine Donald Duck Cap

I recently purchased a Kriegsmarine DD Cap.

It is the type that can be taken apart.

It came with the white cover that is age spotted.

I was wondering if I should clean it or leave it as it is?

If I clean it would it depreciate the value any?

    Thanks,

    Wayne

For the love of Mike!!! Leave it as it is.

I would never knowingly purchase anything that has had the history washed from it. It adds to it's character

      Point taken.

It will remain as it is.

Sometimes items must be cleaned, though, to preserve them from further degradation, or the aggressive materials on them must be neutralized.

That especially count for organic materials.
