Help on Kepi please

I have what I think is a French Kepi but the insignia is different. I searched all over and couldn't find them with the crescent moon insignia.. I would like to find out the rank and what the insignia is. The insignia is gold bullion type so I guess maybe an officer. Also the time period please. Thank you

I think you are in the wrong sub-forum.
However, IMO your kepi is for a sous-lieutnant in a Regiment de tirailleurs nord-africains, ie : Second-lieutnant of any of the north-african riflemen regiments (algerian, marocans, tunisians, zouaves etc ..etc ...).
