markings on field cap

What do you guys think of the markings on this cap ?

Not CRAZY about the markings BUT if its real its most likely a BERGMUTZE and unit marked to an anti tank unit attached the a Mt Unit.... Billbert

If I am not mistaken, all Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilungen became Panzerjaeger-Abteilungen in 1940. From what I can tell, Panzer-Abwehr-Abteilung 44 never existed.

As Bilbert noticed, this kind of tank hunter unit with n°44 did exist :
