Eagle for German Field Caps

Just wondering if theis eagle could be the real deal and if for officer or NCO/Enlisted mans cap?

Hi no takers on the badge? I suspect fake but only because the soldering on the stems seems very rough!?

The pins look pretty fat but the design seems really crisp which I like. It would be appropriate for either a nco or officer. Matt

Many thanks yeah it does look very neat and crisp, just those prongs and attachment method worry me! Any other opinions, where are the cloth hat insignia experts!?

The pins and the solder on them is typical of that seen on fake tropenhelm insignia, so a bad one IMO.
