Just typing the name into the Google-thingy confirmed my first thoughts: something related to some German brewery. Who knows what the wearer had as his job - perhaps he was a truck driver employed by the company or something like that?

possibly gate guard, truck driver could have been used for many jobs very nice cap. you might be able to get in touch with the company as they may have pictures of the cap in use
